Uddhav Thackeray government exposes ₹700 crore scam of Fadnavis government

Uddhav Thackeray led Maharashtra government has exposed massive scam during the regime of Fadnavis government. The Uddhav Thackeray government of Maharashtra has given this information in its reply to the Bombay High Court on Thursday. The government told the High Court that more than 700 crore rupees of funds have been illegally extracted from the state treasury. State Advocate General Ashutosh Kumbakoni described it as a scam in the state exchequer.
Advocate General Ashutosh Kumbakoni told the bench of Justice SC Dharmadhikari and Justice RI Chagla that the money was withdrawn illegally. The money was spent on changing the names and pay scales of several posts of thousands of non-academic staff of 6 universities in the state. In this pay scale of many non-academic posts was raised and salary and other allowances were given to them by wrongly accepting this proposal.
Its is to be noted that the Department of Higher and Technical Education of Maharashtra has told in the affidavit filed in Bombay High Court that many non teaching staff of Savitribai Phule Pune University, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Shivaji University, Kolhapur, North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon, Sant Gadgebaba University, benefited from this fraud.
