Bihar: Librarians shall be appointed in 1200 state High Schools and Colleges soon

Good news for the youth of Bihar, librarian jobs in Bihar will appoint librarians in 1200 high schools and colleges. About 900 high schools and 300 colleges will receive librarians. The appointment process will be completed by BSSC. Education Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary was replying to the question of Education Department Premchand Mishra in the Legislative Council on Friday.

He said that librarians will be appointed soon in higher secondary schools and colleges in the state. The procedure will be done by staff selection Commission (BSSC) and the Government is initiating the process.

This arrangement will be in 893 high high schools and about 300 colleges in the state. The government is preparing rules for librarian eligibility test. The education minister told the house that it would be decided to conduct the eligibility test while assessing the requirement of librarians. With this, action was taken for appointment from the level of universities to the third class post of Assistant Librarian/Librarian assistant in colleges. Now, this responsibility will be given to the staff selection Commission to bring transparency in the appointment process of non-teaching personnel. In this regard, action is under process for amendment of the provision in the relevant section of the Bihar University Act.
