Railway Group D exam pattern changed, CBT 2 paper added

A major change has been made in the exam syllabus of the Railway Group D examination at the last moment. Railway has given information about this change with an official notification. According to Corrigendum & Amendment No-3, now candidates will be selected for Railway Group D after a two-stage examination. Earlier, the candidates were selected on the basis of CBT 1 only. Whereas according to the latest notice, now the candidates who have qualified for CBT 1 will have to appear for CBT 2. On the basis of which the candidates will be selected and the final merit list will be announced.

In the 2019 Railway Group D notification, only one phase was mentioned. The Railways has issued a new notification on 24 January 2022. According to this, the candidates will now have to give CBT 2 after qualifying CBT 1. The decision has been reasoned with a large number of applications received. Applications of the students were taken in 2019 itself, now after almost three years, what is the point of taking such a decision one month before the examination? These are the questions that the applicants are asking.

After a long wait, the RRB Group D exam is finally going to start from next month. The applicants waiting for the admit card have got a big setback. The exams are to start on 23 February 2022. The students are likely to face a lot of trouble due to the change in the syllabus at the last minute. There is also a possibility of students’ movement regarding this. After filling out the form, students also had to wait a long time for the exam date. After many agitations by the candidates, finally, the exam date was announced.
