Bihar: Three accused arrested with arms in Barauni-Gwalior Express robbery case

Police have arrested three accused in the case of robbery on the Barauni-Gwalior Express train. Police have recovered two desi kattas, four bullets, two snaps, and two mobiles looted from the train passengers from the arrested accused. Railway SP Ashok Kumar gave this information on Sunday in a press conference. The SP also announced a reward for the police team involved in arresting the accused.

Armed criminals looted more than 12 passengers and severely injured a passenger in the Gwalior-Barauni Express between Dighwara and Sonpur stations late Thursday in the Barauni-Gwalior Mail. The injured passenger was traveling from Etawah in Uttar Pradesh to 22-year-old Shivam Yadav in General Coach G-5. He was admitted to the Chhapra Sadar Hospital by injured Railway Station Chairman Dharmendra Kumar.

10 to 12 dacoits were riding with sharp weapons and desi kattas in their hands. The criminals in the moving train started looting, but Shivam, who was traveling on the train, opposed it, then the criminals shot him in the thigh. After the robbery incident, the escort party present on the train fell heavily. Rail SP, who arrived in Sonpur to investigate the incident, had suspended the escort party of the Barauni-Gwalior train. In the robbery case, police personnel on platform duty were also indicated to take action.
