Bihar: Farmer shot dead in Nalanda; The body was thrown in a well
In Govindpur village of Sarmera police station area in Nalanda district of Bihar, on Friday night, the farmer who was returning home was shot by some miscreants over some previous enmity. The deceased farmer has been identified as Mohan Singh. After killing, and throwing the body in the well, the armed miscreant escaped while firing air.
The father of the deceased told that his son used to work in fisheries. He was returning home late on Friday night, meanwhile, miscreants from the east fired upon him, firing on him, killing him on the spot. Hearing the sound of firing, the family and the villagers reached the spot, but by then victims had escaped.
On receiving information about the incident, the Sarmera police station reached the spot and took the body in its possession. After legal action, the police sent the body to Bihar Sharif Sadar Hospital for a post-mortem. Station President Rakesh Kumar said that the firing incident has been carried out over the previous dispute. The accused will be arrested soon.
