Bihar elections: BJP’s stance against LJP, says LJP is not part of NDA in Bihar

The BJP has become increasingly strict on LJP which has decided to stand independently in the upcoming Bihar Assembly Elections. Senior BJP leader and Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi has bluntly said that LJP is not a part of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). In such a situation, if non-NDA candidates use the name of the Prime Minister or use his photograph, then the party will take legal action against such people.

Talking to reporters at Patna Airport before going to the election campaign on Tuesday, the Deputy Chief Minister said that LJP is not a part of the NDA alliance in Bihar. HAM and VIP stand by the BJP-JDU alliance in Bihar. Different states may have different coalitions. Therefore, no one should be confused about the issue of LJP. In the last Jharkhand election, LJP also contested separate elections. In such a situation, if the candidates of LJP or other non-NDA parties contesting elections use the name and photograph of the Prime Minister, then legal action will be taken against them. The BJP-JDU alliance in Bihar has been unbreakable for the last 22 years. The people of Bihar have full faith in this alliance.

Justifying the action taken by the party against the 9 leaders contesting as LJP, RLSP, or Independent candidates rebelling from BJP, Sushil Modi said that those who violated the party’s instructions have been expelled from the BJP for six years following disciplinary procedures. Those who have been expelled from the party will oppose it, but it will not have any effect. There was no option but to expel the party leaders contesting against the candidates of the BJP or other parties of the coalition. Such people had already been warned by the BJP leadership.
