Bihar: Irregularities found in corona testing in Jamui; phone numbers of many found incorrect

Principal Secretary, Bihar Health Department, Pratyay Amrit said that irregularities have been found in the rapid antigen testing of Corona at Sikandra and Barhat in Jamui, while the number of persons who have to go through the covid test in other districts is correct. However, there have been mistakes in the phone numbers of many individuals.

He told in a press conference held in the Dialogue Room at Information Bhawan on Saturday that Ajit Kumar, the father of Sonali Kumari, a resident of Sheikhpura, who has undergone an antigen test, has been confirmed to undergo tests. Similarly, in
Farbisganj, Araria, the person conducting the covid test was found to be correct, but some of the mobile numbers of some of them were found to be zero. For this, clarification has been sought from the civil surgeon there. At the same time, mobile numbers of 30-40 people have been found wrong in the Puranahia block of Sheohar. The Health Department has conducted random investigations in 10 districts of the irregularity case in the antigen test in 26 districts and in the remaining districts through the District Magistrates. These things have come out in his preliminary report.

Amrit said that the entire operation cannot be blamed by the mistake of some personnel. Stringent action will be taken if irregularities are found in the Corona investigation anywhere. He said that in June-July 2020, the state did not even have the capacity to conduct one thousand RTPCR investigations.
