Bihar: Corona vaccination campaign to begin from IGIMS

The corona vaccination drive will start in Bihar on Saturday. The first vaccine in the state will be given to IGIMS scavenger Rambabu and the second vaccine will be given to ambulance driver Amit Kumar. Health Minister Mangal Pandey gave this information at a press conference in the State Health Committee Auditorium on Friday.

Sweeper Rambabu will be vaccinated by Covishield. Today, he and the hospital administration have received information through this message. He will be the first person from Bihar to receive the Corona vaccine. The first list of IGIMS consists of 5 scavengers and 5 doctors. Apart from this, there are paramedical staff nurses, etc.

Minister Mangal Pandey told that CM Nitish Kumar will go to IGIMS tomorrow at 10:45 am and will start the vaccination campaign. In the first phase of vaccination, 462275 registered health workers will be vaccinated. The State Health Committee has instructed DMs and civil surgeons of all districts in this regard. 300 vaccination centers have been set up in the state regarding corona vaccination in Bihar. Corona vaccination centers have also been set up in district level hospitals and various first aid centers, including all 9 government medical college hospitals. Mangal Pandey said that 100 people will get vaccinated at each center. The goal is to have 30 thousand people vaccinated on the first day.

Minister Mangal Pandey said that Bihar has fought the battle against Corona quite successfully. All the people, including our officers and doctors, have done very well. He said that today the recovery rate of corona patients in Bihar is around 98 percent and the number of active cases is only around 4 thousand, reports LiveHindustan.
