Bihar: 4 dead as truck hits bus in Muzaffarpur

Four persons were killed and at least 14 others injured after a truck rammed into the bus in which they were travelling on NH-28 Panapur Minapur police outpost in Muzaffarpur on Friday.


As per the Outpost in charge Arvind Paswan, the deceased were identified as Ramesh Tiwari (60), Abhinav Kumar alias Sonu (18) and Mukund Kunwar (47) from Jarang Janak Singh under Gaighat police station area and Dharmendra Kumar (52) from Dubha village under sakra police station area of Muzaffarpur district.


According to SSP, some passengers were struck inside the mangled bus and police and locals had a tough time extricating them from the vehicle.


On getting information, Chief Minister extended their condolences. The state government has also directed Muzaffarpur officials to ensure financial assistance to the families of the deceased and also the injured as per rules.
