The Airport Advisory Committee meeting held on Saturday, emphasis was laid on starting the cargo service soon. There was discussion on land acquisition for the expansion of the airport runway and many important points were also discussed. The airport authority was instructed not to allow any shortfall in the convenience of the passengers.
In the meeting, world class facilities availability in the new terminal gets attention. The meeting of the Airport Advisory Board was held under the Chairmanship of MP Vijay Manjhi.
In addition, the introduction of agricultural products abroad will be possible said Director of Gaya, Airport Dilip Kumar. The introduction of cargo service will give a boost to the state government’s industrial policy.
He added, with the construction of Air Cargo Terminal, Gaya and surrounding industries will get a boost. The cargo system will help in export of Manpur’s handloom, Khadi clothes and Madhubani painting.
Vegetables grown throughout the year in Bihar including pumpkin, bitter gourd, ladyfinger, brinjal ,seasonal coriander leaves, radish,tomato,cucumbers,drumstick,greengram, corn, peas, potato, onion and papaya can be sent aboard for sale.
