A five-year Integrated Program in Management introduced at IIM Bodh Gaya

A five-year Integrated Program in Management (IPM) course has been started at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bodh Gaya. The first batch has 72 students enrolled in total. For admission in this course, the national level exam JIPMAT 2021 (conducted by NTA) was conducted in the month of August. After this, 72 students were selected for admission in the final merit list. The five-year integrated program at IIM Bodh Gaya Management has been introduced with the objective of producing thoughtful leaders from a young age itself. Subhash Sarkar, Union Minister of State for Education, Government of India did the virtual inauguration of the IPM program. Before the event, Dr. Vinita Sahai, Director, IIM Institute welcomed the guests. Education Minister Subhash Sarkar said that India has always considered the Guru-Shishya relationship as sacred and for thousands of years, Nalanda’s name is well known in the field of education. Mindfulness is an important pillar of Buddha’s teachings, which summarizes the core of the institution.


Shri Sarkar said that IIMs have an important role to play in training business experts who can make a difference in the world. IIM Bodh Gaya has tirelessly designed the curriculum of IPM and we will surely get the result of it in the times to come. We need to keep learning throughout life because life teaches new lessons at every turn. We are shaped by our thoughts, we become what we think. He lauded the IPM curriculum in the light of the National Education Policy 2020 which aims to develop a holistic development and personality. Underlining the historical importance of Bodh Gaya, Nalanda, Vikramshila, Takshila in the field of knowledge, the Minister of State for Education exuded confidence that students would get excellent learning opportunities at IIM Bodh Gaya. Encouraging the students, he insisted all of them work hard and become a component of building a prosperous India. Dr. Vinita Sahai, Director of the Institute said that the first batch of IPM is starting with 72 students from 18 states of India. It was assured by the authorities that it is one of the prestigious institutes of the country, and IIM Bodh Gaya will work for the all-round development of its students. The campus under construction of IIM Bodh Gaya has been said to be world-class.

The admission to IIMBG-IPM would be through the JIPMAT 2021 (conducted by NTA). Marks obtained in JIPMAT, 10th score, and 12th score would be computed for preparing the final merit list in the following ratio: JIPMAT Score: 70%; 10th Score: 15%; 12th Score: 15%.
