Samastipur: CNG available at two stations, likely to reduce pollution in the district

In the Samastipur district, people can finally be free from the pollution caused by vehicles running on petrol and diesel. IOCL has started selling CNG in the district. At present, it has been started at Veersinghpur and Tara petrol pumps of Kalyanpur block in, but soon the facility will be made available to at 11 petrol pumps.

In this regard, IOCL official Ravi Kishan said that this initiative has been taken to make the environment pollution-free. The economic burden of drivers using CNG will also come down manifold. CNG will be much cheaper than petrol and diesel. A kg of CNG will come for Rs 67, which will be much less than the price of petrol and diesel. He further added that in one kg of CNG, the vehicle will give a mileage of at least forty km. Apart from the petrol pumps in the city, plans are on to expand it at the petrol pumps located along the highway.

Here, on Sunday, IOCL’s Begusarai Deputy General Manager Mahesh Bhagat started the sale by putting CNC gas in the CNG vehicle at IOCL’s petrol pump located at Kushiyari Karua in Pusa main road from Kalyanpur under Chakmehsi police station area. On the occasion, IOCL Senior Project Manager Anish Kumar told that IOCL has installed a compressor facility under the DBS station at the pump. He said that in the first phase, the CNG facility would be made available at 11 pumps in the Samastipur district.
