Lal Sanjay Kumar Kamat of Madhubani has been honored by Home Minister Amit Shah with a ‘Police Medal’ and a citation for his bravery. He was given this honor in a grand ceremony held at CRPF Headquarters in Jammu on Saturday. Sanjay Kumar Kamat is the son of Nathuni Kamat, a resident of Rayam in the Bhairavsthan police station area. There is a wave of happiness among the residents of the district due to this achievement of Sanjay and his felicitation at the hands of the Home Minister.
Significantly, on January 22, 2019, Sanjay Kumar Kamat was in the 178 Battalion of CRPF. At the same time, his unit was conducting an operation against terrorists in Shermal village of Zainapora police station area of Kashmir’s Shopian district. Suddenly a group of terrorists tried to destroy their detachment by opening fire. During this, Sanjay Kumar Kaam single-handedly killed three dreaded terrorists, while showing immense bravery.
With his bravery, he did not allow any kind of damage to his troop. This was mentioned in the Independence Day of the year 2020. All the officials forwarded Sanjay’s name for the police medal for bravery. A function was organized in Jammu on Saturday and Sanjay Kumar Kamat was honored by Home Minister Amit Shah for his bravery and patriotism. Sanjay’s entire family is very happy with this.
