BPSC: More than 40 thousand head masters are being reinstated in Bihar, application from today

There is big news for the candidates who dream of becoming a teacher in Bihar. Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has sought online applications from today for the appointment of 40 thousand 506 posts of head teachers in primary schools of the state. Eligible candidates can apply online till 22 April.

The appointment will be on the basis of written test only. Only the residents of the state can apply for this. For the application, it will be mandatory for the teachers appointed in the year 2012 or earlier to pass the proficiency test. It is necessary to pass the Teacher Eligibility Test i.e. the eligibility test to be conducted for appointment to the post of teacher in classes one to five, six to eight conducted by the state and central government. Also, graduation with 50 percent marks from a recognized university, relaxation of five percent will be given for reserved category.

Candidate must have passed D.El., B.T., B.Ed, B.Ed., B.Sc. Ed., B.El.Ed exam from a recognized institute. There is a relaxation of 5% in the minimum prescribed marks for SC-ST, EBC, BC, Divyang, Women and Economically Weaker Section. For online application, candidates of general category will have to pay Rs 750, for SC-ST Rs 200, all women category candidates Rs 200, candidates with 40 or more percentile of disability will also have to pay Rs 200.

The selection of candidates for the post of head teacher will be on the basis of written examination. This exam will be of 150 marks, which will be objective and multiple choice. There will be 75 marks for General Studies and 75 marks for D.El.Ed subject. Each question will be of one mark and there will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for wrong answer. The duration of the exam will be of two hours. In the written examination, the general candidates will have to get 40 percent, backward class 36.5 percent, extremely backward class 34 percent, scheduled caste tribe, women and handicapped 32 percent minimum marks. Selection will be done on the basis of merit.
