On Sunday evening, BJP state president Dr. Sanjay Jaiswal and Deputy Chief Minister Tar Kishore Prasad met Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. After meeting the Chief Minister on Sunday, BJP state president Dr. Sanjay Jaiswal told the reporters that by Monday morning, everything will be clarified. However, sources say that the cabinet expansion may take place this week. At the same time, there has also been a discussion on the nomination of 12 seats from the Governor quota in the Legislative Council. If sources are to be believed, a decision on this is going to be made soon. In the past, BJP’s Bihar in-charge Bhupendra Yadav, State President Dr. Sanjay Jaiswal, and both Deputy Chief Ministers Tarkishore Prasad and Renu Devi met the Chief Minister. Even then the market for discussions regarding cabinet expansion was heated. However, the next day Chief Minister Nitish Kumar made it clear that there was no discussion on cabinet expansion.
The new government was sworn in on November 16. Then 15 people including Chief Minister Nitish Kumar were sworn in.
